HOW DO I BOOK MY ROOM?
- To book your room & check availability, please message us via WhatsApp on 071 999 1246 or complete the online enquiry form here.
- Once we have confirmed availability, you will need to provide the following to complete your booking & secure your room:
- 1️⃣ Copy of your ID
- 2️⃣ Proof of booking fee payment (depending on your building)
- Rooms are allocated once you have successfully finalised your application by providing the remaining necessary documents (see below).
HOW DO I FINALISE MY APPLICATION?
- Once you have successfully booked your room by providing 1️⃣ a copy of your ID and 2️⃣ proof of booking fee payment (see above), you will need to provide the following documents to complete your application prior to moving in:
- 3️⃣ Proof of University Registration
4️⃣ Copy of Student Card
5️⃣ Proof of Funding:
- NSFAS Applicants ➜ NSFAS Approval
- BURSARY Applicants ➜ Bursary Letter
- CASH Applicants/EMPLOYER FUNDED Applicants ➜ Sponsor/Parent’s Documents:
- Copy of ID
- 3 Months Bank Statements
- Proof of Income
- SELF FUNDED Applicants ➜ Self employed Documents:
- Copy of ID
- 6 Months Bank Statements
- Proof of Income
- 3️⃣ Proof of University Registration
- Once the above documents have been finalised, you will be assigned your room & asked to sign your (10 month) lease agreement with your designated building manager.

ARE THERE CLEANERS FOR MY ROOM?
- Cleaners are available to clean student rooms by personal arrangement between the student & the cleaner
- Vacuum cleaners are available at your building manager’s office.
- All communal areas in our residences are cleaned daily.
CAN I BRING A FRIEND TO SLEEPOVER?
- Unfortunately, we do not facilitate sleepovers at our residences.
- Visiting hours are from 9am to 11pm.
CAN I CHANGE MY ROOM DURING THE YEAR?
In exceptional circumstances (with availability permitting), it MAY be possible to change your room. Please contact your designated building manager to discuss.
I HAVE A CAR - IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE?
Parking is available in some of our residences at an additional cost – please contact your building manager to arrange accordingly.
HOW DO I OBTAIN A USER PROFILE FOR THE CAMPUS AFRICA APP?
- Please contact your building manager directly, requesting access to the app & providing a valid email address.
- You will receive an email notification once your user profile has been created in the app.
- Please read our Privacy Policy after this FAQ to find out more about how we use your information to assit you.
- You can download the Campus Africa app from the relevant platform for your mobile phone below:
WHO QUALIFIES FOR NSFAS?
CAN I CHANGE TO ANOTHER CAMPUS AFRICA BUILDING AFTER I HAVE PAID A BOOKING FEE?
No, once you’ve paid the booking fee, changing to another building is not allowed. However, you can cancel your existing booking, and upon cancellation, you can make another payment to stay in a different Campus Africa building. If you haven’t paid the booking fee, we can assist you in changing to other buildings.
Note: Booking fees are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another student. Please refer to our website for FAQs and Campus Africa rule book.
HOW DO I GET MY ROOM NUMBER AND LEASE AGREEMENT AFTER PAYING MY BOOKING FEE?
Your booking fee guarantees a reserved room, but the permanent room number is allocated by our building manager upon moving in. The lease agreement is signed on the online booking system after all required documents are uploaded or submitted.
WHAT IS THE PAYMENT ARRANGEMENT FOR SELF-FUNDING/CASH-PAYING STUDENTS AT CAMPUS AFRICA?
Campus Africa does not offer monthly payment arrangements for cash-paying self-funded students. Payment options include either a 6-month upfront payment with a credit check of the sponsor or a 10-month upfront payment with no credit check.

DO YOU PROVIDE TRANSPORT FOR STUDENTS STAYING IN CAMPUS AFRICA BUILDINGS?
Yes, we provide free bus shuttles from our residences to various campuses. The schedule is available through your building manager.
HOW CAN I RECEIVE REMINDER MESSAGES FROM CAMPUS AFRICA AFTER APPLYING ONLINE?

An approval message will be sent after email verification.
CAN NSFAS OR BURSARY STUDENTS STAY IN A SINGLE ROOM AT CAMPUS AFRICA?
All two-sharing beds are at the NSFAS-rate, but students can pay a top-up amount for a single room.
External bursaries often cover the cost of single rooms without a top-up.
HOW CAN I CHANGE BUILDINGS AND ROOM TYPES WHEN I APPLY AT CAMPUS AFRICA?
Contact the support team wa.me/27719991246 or the sales admin for each building to request changes.
Note that changing buildings after paying a booking fee requires an additional fee. If no booking fee has been paid, changes can be made, including room types that are not fully booked.
TOP-UP AMOUNT PAYMENT INFORMATION
- When can I pay my upfront top-up amount?
– Immediate payment is allowed in Jan and Feb before moving in. - Is the top-up amount refundable if I don’t move in?
– Yes, the top-up amount is refundable at the end of the academic year. Consult your building manager for details. - Which bank account must I pay the upfront top-up amount to?
– Use the same bank account used for paying the booking fee and send proof of payment to your building manager.

To facilitate the approval process for your bursary letter with Campus Africa, kindly provide the following information:
